Working along side a large team of creatives, I worked as the head colorist and assistant editor for Taylor Raye Curry's upcoming film, 7 1/2 minutes. As a first time head colorist, this was a challenge, but I accomplished our goal and the film was completed with film festival award praise.

As I have come to find out, different skin tones need their own workflow for color, so figuring out each character's own skin grade was a challenge. Most of the characters in the film have a darker complexion, so trying to come up with a solid workflow for color took a bit, but after some trial and error the pace of work quickened and I was able to finish before the deadline.
When it came to the editing portion, I helped the head editor with dialogue and match cuts, as this was vital for pacing issues. Once the final edit was done, the project was handed off to me for color. When working with different lighting spaces, I had to create a tone for each location. I had one-on-one conversations with the director, lots of trial and error, ultimately finding the best color space for the film.
